Samsung Galaxy S6 release date might be a year away but that has not stopped the first Samsung Galaxy S6 rumors from doing the rounds. Following the excellent still largely evolutionary Samsung Galaxy S5 we expect the Galaxy S6 to be a more serious update that includes the 2K display and Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 64-bit chipset and even, according to some, reports are far-fetched and others more likely what is almost certain that the Samsung Galaxy S6 will launch in early 2015 as a direct rival to the newly launched iPhone 6.
Samsung Galaxy 6 expected to be a direct rival to iPhone 6
As it is consistent with the previous launches with MWC 2015 to be held between March 2nd and 5th we would anticipate that the Galaxy S6 release date could be confirmed during the manufacturer’s dedicated press conference. Samsung revealed that in late 2014 its first phones to run a 2560 x 1440 pixel WQHD displays will land. Although unlikely to be the first with such a screen the Samsung Galaxy S6 looks set to make the jump beyond the S5’s 1080p full HD offering following the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 despite being the company’s flagship phone.
It appears that the Galaxy S6 will fall between Samsung’s technology cycles. Although Samsung has confirmed that it will bring 3,840 x 2,160 pixels UHD displays to its Smartphone’s offerings during 2015. It is believed, the Samsung Galaxy S6 will arrive too early to benefit from this next gen panel. Instead however the S6 looks like the mimic the LG G3 with acute.
Offering a further insight into the Samsung Galaxy S6’s screen, the manufacturer has promised to continue its push into AMOLED displays leaves little doubt in the technology within the phone panel. For this, unreasonable kindness to the battery can be expected.
5.2 inches Ultra High Definition 4K display
With size being almost as important Samsung as image quality it has again being rumored that the Galaxy S6 will feature a larger display than its predecessors. With the Samsung Galaxy S range having risen from 4 inches to 5.2 inches in just five generations we can see the S6 topping off somewhere around. Depending on Google’s plans it’s likely the Galaxy S6 will run either Android 4.5 or Android 5.0.
According to Qualcomm the processing units will allow for everything from UHD 4K displays to be supported to the introduction of 4G LTE advanced Cat 6 connections and the option to run up to 55 megapixel camera sensors.
At present the 64-bit 6 core Snapdragon 810 processor is looking more likely to feature with support for display resolution up to 2560 x 1600 pixels fitting with claims of a WQHD S6 screen. The 810 will also introduce LP DDR3 memory.
A range of battery management improvements and an Adreno 413 GPU will boost graphical performance. There is no word on the phone’s camera although we would be surprised if the Samsung Galaxy S6 doesn’t improve on the S5’s existing 16 megapixel.

What should make Samsung Galaxy S6 the Best Smartphone of 2015?
Now we should discuss about the features we would love to see in Samsung Galaxy S6 and if these things do happen the S6 will be definitely be “The Best Phone of 2015”.
The first thing is obviously the Battery as we all know that the smartphones are making exponentials leaps in terms of performance, innovation etc. But one of the few things which really don’t improve with the same pace is the battery.
Graphene promises to be able to provide something like 7 – 8 times the normal battery life. If this is put into the S6 then it will surely have an incredible battery performance. On top of that it should be able to charge quickly unlike the regular 3,500 or 4,000 mAH batteries.
Samsung’s YOUM Flexible Display
Next comes the Flexible Display. Now, you may be aware that Samsung demonstrated its YOUM flexible display technology and this is basically a way of making the LCD so that it actually flexes. They are using some sort of plastic which actually looks like glass. You can have your S6 to be able to fold almost like a paper or fits into your pocket or in a cylinder. So it’s awesome! If they are able to launch the flexible display next year then Samsung Galaxy S6 is going to have limitless possibilities.
The third thing that we really want to see in the Galaxy S6 is the Processor technology. As we already know that the Snapdragon 800 was a big jump for the Samsung S4 Pro. The last year we did not have any such progress as the 801 was slightly better than 800 and again the 805 was slightly better than the previous one. Just feeling like they are making chips for the sake of it. So this will actually allow the developers pull console games to phones. So if Samsung manages to double the performance of the next generation’s Galaxy phone it will actually help the developers to pull the console games over to mobile where they will having a massive audience.
The fourth thing that we really think Samsung needs to do is to make the best camera they can without pushing up the megapixels unnecessarily. A dual flash and a 4K recorder with a great fps will surely make it different than any other competitors.
The last but not the least is all about the speakers. They should be creating dual speakers much like that of HTC One and great speakers not only make your music more enjoyable but makes your videos enjoyable too. Everything you do on your phone like your games, movies, music actually comes to life when you have dual stereo speakers that sounds really good and crisp like the one it makes.
So we think Samsung has a good start and if they nail the next generation’s Samsung Galaxy it will easily outsell the iPhone. The Galaxy S5 is only an incremental improvement on the S4 but at the same it had a worldwide success and proved to be the Samsung’s best selling Smartphone ever. So Samsung actually managed to get a revolutionary phone in the next year which will blow away the competition and they might even drive companies out of the market. They have got the biggest potential of any android manufacturer.
What about the Price?
There have been rumors of price being really high and really low. Rumors and leaks say it to be $699 for the unlocked one from the Samsung’s online store with a contract of $199. But there have been rumors of its price being as high as $759 for a basic model with a $200 on contract for two years. So all these are predictions and leaks through sources as Samsung has not revealed anything officially about Samsung Galaxy S6 so far.
So it’s almost time to hold your breath and wait for the “Best Smartphone of 2015” to arrive with all its glory. Share your thoughts and subscribe to our blog and stay updated on all the upcoming and recent mobile technology and software updates.Google+
