LG G4: Rumors & Specifications

LG-G4_4

LG G4 is going to be one of the best smartphones of 2015. Yes, your heard that right “one of the best”. That’s what the experts expect it to be. The LG G3 is already a pretty amazing phone and there is really not much to improve in it. So based on the rumors and leaks about LG G4 we are going to put some light about its rumors, specifications, price and release date.

Release date

The LG G3 was actually released in May of 2014 so it makes sense to predict the release of LG G4 to be in the May of 2015. One year of release date is standard for any smartphone manufacturing company and this release cycle makes a lot of sense.

Design

As we talk about the design of the LG G4 the LG G3 did a great job to make it look like a premium phone. But when you actually hold it in your hand it does not feel like quite premium one like the HTC One M8 or the Sony Xperia Z3. At this point the Samsung also released a new metal phone the Samsung Galaxy Alpha. So we will be actually be surprised if the G4 is not going to be a true metal phone to compete with all the other current android flagship smartphones. So a metal phone is what we expect from any flagship smartphone now-a-days. Apple is already in the business of creating great metal phones and so is HTC and LG will be wise enough to take note of that.

Battery Life

The battery life really needs a boost in the LG G4. The LG G3’s battery life is not great enough to compete with other smartphones putting higher mAh and great battery life. The battery performance has actually stepped down from the G2 which is definitely not expected. If the G4 comes up with a great battery life it could definitely influence its customer base. Now-a-days battery life is the number one feature in a smartphone because there is not point having a great smartphone having great features without a great battery. Another way that LG could actually increase the battery life is by adding an extra power-saving mode on the LG G4 just like Samsung Galaxy S5 and Samsung Galaxy Note 4. Both of these phones have modes where you can disable lot of features and the screen will become black-n-white and the battery life will last longer.

Specifications

There is no doubt about the fact that the LG G4 is going to be a really powerful phone. The G3 is already an exceedingly powerful phone but the G4 could actually be powered by a 64-bit Snapdragon 805 processor which is going to be too fast to handle any high-end applications, games and tons of stuffs with not a single problem. Probably LG is going to upgrade its RAM from 3GB to 4GB which can be compared to that of a standard PC.

Speakers

The LG G4 could have some amazing speakers like what we have seen in the HTC One M8. The LG G3 did not have “quite so good” speakers and if LG is paying more attention to what HTC has been doing they will actually be wise to put better speakers in their phone to be in the competition. People do really look forward to a great audio quality along with the other features and LG is probably coming up with dual stereo speakers somewhat like HTC’s boom sound.

Price and OS

LG G4 will obviously run the most recent version of android i.e. Android 5.0 ‘Lollipop’ which will be available in the Nexus 9 tablet and Nexus 6 smartphone soon. Talking about the price, LG G4 will try hard to keep the tradition of making it cheaper than its competitors and at the same time would be less of a margin than the G3.
